A Rape

Hi folks! Welcome again. Today I have an interesting story to share with you all. Firstly, I am happy to inform that my latest upload, “The Gangrape” has done pretty well at least in some official selections although there’s a long way to go. As a matter of fact, I came across many stories on rape. The saddest part is that this heinous crime has become so common in almost every industry. Some are reported & a few go rotten, unheard & untold. Some stay alive shouting out their stories with a hope that justice will be delivered for the unlawful activities.

21st century social media saw an uprising of the campaign #metoo that saw women of different genres coming forward and speaking out their stories which were never heard before. Interestingly, there were controversies about the authenticity of complaints raised by public. In democratic countries, it is both good & bad that the criminals are given a chance to prove their innocence. Some argue that it gives a lot of time to the criminals to clean their messed spaces. However, heinous crimes never go unheard these days after the bold social media initiatives.

Is economy playing an important role in defining the number of reported cases? Do you think that people below the poverty line(BPL) would be inclined to report cases? With lack of education & lack of awareness of sex education, such boldness among BPL families might not be as common as expected. In that case, thanks to the media as they reach out to all corners of the country and listen to each & everyone. A salute to the media is a must for their hard work to reach out.

A few days back, a horrifying news notification caused a nervous breakdown. “Actor X accused of raping a minor girl”. It was followed by support campaigns drawn in by the person’s acquaintances. A minor girl below the age of 12 years has got no sense to understand the meaning of rape but as per the reports, her father was accused of reporting the crime to the police after he got a video recorded of his daughter’s statement. Later it was revealed by the mother of the minor girl that the actor was framed by her husband to get the child’s full custody. The point here is quite interesting for many possible reasons. The mother was supposedly a co-star of the actor. This draws even more questions and mystery.

Think about it. Is it possible? Without being biased, would you not consider these points? Considering that the minor might have been raped, it might be possible that the mother got bribed by the accused actor & is changing her side. It might be possible that the mother who’s also a co-star got interested in the actor and framed him out of anger as the actor was dating some other woman. May be the former used her husband’s name in the whole case. Another opinion might be that the husband or the father of the minor had an affair outside marriage. The mother of the minor was not okay with it and so she thought of framing her own husband.

Well, the current scenario is this that the actor has been granted bail and is free to continue his work with all his support from the other fellows. Here the greatest concern is firstly about the wellbeing of the daughter who is supposedly just a minor. Secondly, the father of the minor needs to be placed at the same platform with the mother and the accused actor.

Imagine why would any parent irrespective of any background would spoil the reputation of their own daughter and all of this only for the sake of custody and that too in an Indian society makes things a little bit more confusing. Let’s pray for the wellbeing of the daughter and I hope that she is not doped by anybody to get the statement turned or overturned. May she reveal the reality in the way that is the most correct & suitable. Let’s pray that a crime such as rape should never find it’s way into any household irrespective of any caste, creed, colour & religion.

Thanks for reading folks. Love you all. If you feel offended by any thought here, I apologise for the same but an art of storytelling requires me to dig into different scientific possibilities. Science is not just limited to laboratories. It is everywhere extending till the lavatories. The point is that think scientifically for it might be able to save innocence and may the humanity continue to shine. June is the month of pride too and I request you all to respect all genders too. God bless us all. Once again, apologies for offending, if any.
